To me, it’s essentially two terms describing the same thing. The objective of conversational hypnosis as well as of covert hypnosis is to create a change in a person in a completely unconscious way. It’s the use of language to influence the subconscious mind.

One distinction I came up with is that conversational hypnosis might be somewhat more involved with the NLP (= Neuro Linguistic Programming) techniques, whereas covert hypnosis focuses more on the aspect of storytelling and metaphor, but also very strongly encompasses other NLP techniques. However, the terms both mean the same in my mind.

OK… let’s look at some basic elements of conversational or covert hypnosis. This is the basic model, a covert hypnosis formula if you will, that will bring great results:
Get attention (and of course keep it by keeping them interested!)Establish rapport (pace)Lead a person in a hypnotic trance (focus their attention and bypass their critical mind)Slide in your suggestions

This is basically it. It can be done within minutes and sometimes two or even more steps can be achieved with a single sentence. It all depends on the qualification of your audience and your abilities (= practise!).

Each of these steps have been thoroughly researched and once one understands the core principles and gets a hang of the specific language and a way of thinking, he or she can become a master communicator with great abilities to instantly influence and persuade people.

What most people don’t understand about secret hypnosis is that it is dynamic, just like every other communication model.

Moreover, beginners usually learn the techniques and then throw them out randomly, without any calibration, without any preparation steps and without any plan.

Now, I believe it is important to go out, once you learn these techniques and use them to start because this is the only way to get proficient in secret hypnosis is. ..

However, maybe someone new try the techniques very soon find him-or herself in an awkward situation. I speak not of caught–this never happens with “subjects” who are unskilled in the art of covert hypnosis. I’m talking about view creepy or strange because they think that if they miss a few steps or a technique did it must have worked and they just eventually go crawl the heck out of their listener (s).

After a negative experience, many people stop and deprive themselves from learning one of the most powerful, useful and exciting skills out there.

So, here I’ll give you a quick overview of what would need to covert hypnosis are to really work:

1.) you need attention. There is very little that you can do if you have no attention of a person. Sure, there are some great subliminal techniques to your topic of interest for certain their spirit desired to go later, but with only that you’ll direction prime stuck and will not everywhere. First you need the attention of your topic and you must also keep your entire interaction.

2.) you must set a correct frame or CONTEXT. A number of techniques very unusual to have someone look without a proper context. You must always what is going on and how you can stir the conversation so you can begin to really so many covert hypnosis techniques use possible to consider. Sure, some techniques work wonderfully on every point of conversation and in almost every context, but before using a technique, you should always consider what is going on at that particular moment.

4.) you want to Calibrate. You must know what is going on with your subject at all times. You need to continually noticing subtle clues (eye movement, colour, voice tone, general body language …) to know if your topic in the “trance”, is if they really fascinated, if she pays attention and is most importantly if they really respond to your suggestions.

5.) you must work on your inner game and develop social skills. While the covert hypnosis is a social skill itself, you also need some other social skills like know when it is appropriate to say and do something (calibration and testing), when it’s best to and how to approach people (or to approach the awareness of situations) develop, etc. You also need to work on your attitude to covert hypnosis and integrate it into your personality (this comes with time and practice).

6.) you must have a correct sequence of events. Is one of the models that works very well:
Attention–report–> > possibilities (trance induction),–calibrationNow <-->> suggestions, this is not to say that you are not at the stage of use suggestions attention. You can and should also. What I mean by suggestions here is something that you couldn’t get away with without report. The good things. This is something good social skills and will help you with a lot of calibration.The thing to remember here is that this all looks like something in written form that takes a long time. It is not! It can “attention” phase to phase “suggestion” less than a minute! Less than 30 seconds! It all depends your skill level and the context.Many students I know and that I trained had trouble with the series. What would usually happen was they would start with “suggestion phase” and be surprised when techniques don’t work. About 40 years ago, a linguist named John Grinder and a computer programmer named Richard Bandler sat down with a pen and paper, and set about picking apart the conversational patterns of a man named Milton Erickson.

Milton Erickson was a therapist and hypnotist based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a few unusual knacks.

Erickson noticed that when his clients came to see him, they often phrased their problems in strange ways. They’d speak in such a way that their totally irrationally problems somehow seemed real, concrete and unchangeable.

Dr. Erickson thought that if these patterns kept people trapped inside problems, then they could probably be used to free people from problems as well.

He began talking to clients in that same language, feeding there patterns back to them. Patterns like…

The Bind, two ideas linked together: “the more you read about language patterns, the more you notice people using them naturally in everyday speech”…

The Double Bind, the illusion of choice … “people find they either find language patterns easy to use or simple to implement in their daily communication”…

Presuppositions… “when (presupposition of time, it’s not if, it’s when) you realize (presupposition of awareness, it’s not whether it’s happening, it’s whether you’ve noticed) how easy it is to use these language patterns, you’ll notice that you’ve already made massive changes in the way you communicate”…

And a lot more besides! Grinder and Bandler broke down these patterns, and called the model they created “The Milton Model.”

The patterns aren’t logical, but they play into the way the mind thinks, and creates a compelling motivation for actions and beliefs.

The Milton Model is today used by therapists, businessmen, marketers and more to connect with people, change their beliefs and attitudes, and motivate them to take action, and create change.

How To Use Hypnotic Language Patterns without Sounding Crazy…

There are those who say language patterns are absurd, that they could never possibly be used in a real life conversation, and are at best a crutch for the anxious or nervous hypnotist.

They assume that in order to use language patterns in normal conversations, you have to drastically change the way you speak.

Here’s the secret: you don’t!

The fact is, language patterns are used by us in our everyday lives, all the time! The trouble is, they’re normally used for negative things.

Every time someone says “ I’ve realized I’ll either fail now, or give up” (presupposition of awareness followed by a double bind), or “ the more I talk to him, the more annoyed I get” (bind), they are using language patterns!

Open your ears, and you’ll find people use patterns of the Milton Model all the time! They are a natural function of English language communication!

So, rather than allowing us to trap ourselves into our problems with these patterns, why not use them to help free our minds, get what we want from life, and help others do the same?

Keep an ear out for language patterns in your everyday interactions, and ask yourself how you can use these patterns for the results you want.
